Summer is when a European landscape stops sounding like a chorus and starts sounding like individuals.

The bird choirs of spring thin out into solitary signals, cicadas run down into the night, wolves gather, and thunder builds over the hills. Recorded in 360° on a Schoeps ORTF3D set, in places a recordist scouted specifically for their silence.
