That division is done here. The field names eight channels in two tiers of four — Lo of L, R, Ls and Rs; Hi of Lh, Rh, LSh and RSh — and it does not say how those tiers map onto the two files, so this page does not guess. What it does state plainly is that the stereo edition ships with the 3D one, and the delivery objects bear it out: the surround package carries the stereo package’s own five archives inside it.
