MEDIEVAL MELEE captures all the clashing of steel and raw, bone-crunching gore in one of the largest-ever collections of sound effects — recorded either in the pristine sound environment of the studio or onsite in the soot and heat of sourced armourers.

BOOM Library searched across Europe for the best armourers — then dug through scrapyards and archaeological sites — to capture medieval close-quarters combat as realistically as possible: impacts, deflects, equips and un-equips, finishers, whooshes and more. Only hand-held steel and iron; no ranged weapons.
