The Score Essentials is the focused entry into the Score line: 45 Stories, each carrying four arrangements with a wide dynamic range, behind an interface stripped down to what it takes to play them.

The JAM Station lays out preset chords you can click, so a Story can be auditioned with no keyboard attached. Shape what comes out with the mod wheel, the Story’s own controls and the effects, then take it to the DAW.

At a Glance

  • 45 Stories each containing four different arrangements with a wide dynamic range
  • JAM Station preset chords you click to hear a Story, with no external hardware
  • Nine instrument groups named Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, Synths, Guitars, Keys, Choir and World — nine counted off the field’s own sentence
  • Three world instruments named Oud, Taikos and Ronroco are the examples given; the sentence says “like”, so that group stays open
  • No instrument total the field never states how many instruments the palette holds, and none is invented here
  • Mod wheel dynamics Stories stay tweakable, with FX, and the field calls the whole set DAW-friendly

Content & Detail

01The Forty-Five Stories45 stated
What a Story isAn expressive, flexible preset arrangement, crafted for fast emotional scoring in film, trailers and multimedia
How manyThe field states 45 — in the opening paragraph, in the Stories heading and in the feature list alike
Inside oneEach Story contains four different arrangements with a wide dynamic range
Shaping itMod wheel dynamics, tweakable Stories and FX, all described as DAW-friendly
The JAM StationEnter it, click the preset chords, and hear how each Story behaves before committing to it
02The Instrument Palettenine groups
Named groupsStrings, Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, Synths, Guitars, Keys, Choir, and World instruments — nine groups, counted off the sentence that lists them
World instrumentsOud, Taikos and Ronroco are named as examples. The sentence introduces them with “like”, so that group is an open list and no total is drawn from it
What the field omitsIt states no instrument count anywhere — only the nine groups and the three named world examples
Where it sitsThe field places the product inside the Score ecosystem, and states a simple upgrade path out of it
03Host and Requirementstwo CPU floors
HostWorks with the free Kontakt Player; Kontakt version 7.10.7 or higher
Apple SiliconmacOS 12, 13 or 14, latest update
Intel Macsi5 or higher, macOS 12, 13 or 14, latest update
WindowsWindows 10 or 11 with the latest service pack, Intel Core i5 or equivalent CPU, 2 GB RAM
The second CPU floorThe same list then advises that some sessions need a fast CPU and require an Intel i7 or higher. The field states both floors, so both are printed
The second RAM figureOne line says 2 GB RAM, the next says 4 GB RAM with 6 GB recommended, because this is a large Kontakt instrument
Graphics and diskOpenGL 2.1 or higher and Direct 3D 11.1; at least 11.7 GB of free disc space

An entry product earns its place by what it stops asking of you. Forty-five Stories and a pad of clickable chords means the first sound arrives before the first decision does.
