The Pulse is Sonuscore’s rhythm instrument: a dynamic ensemble engine that turns played chords into evolving, pulse-driven arrangements, with the beats, melodies and effects left open to editing.
It is built on the engine and interface of The Score, from the team behind The Orchestra, with extensive modifications and additions. A finished idea leaves the instrument as MIDI for the DAW.
At a Glance
- 80+ sessions fully customizable starting points, a figure the field states three times
- Four sound groups counted 30+ basses, 40+ drum kits, 40 leads and plucks, 25 ambient pads — at least 135 by the field’s own four figures
- The summary says 100+ the key features count basses, drums, leads and orchestral textures as 100+, under that itemised total
- Orchestral colors listed beside the other sound groups and given no figure by the field
- Drum Rack named as what transforms the beat rather than repeating it
- MIDI export the generated arrangement leaves as MIDI
Content & Detail
A loop plays back; an engine answers. What the field puts at the centre of The Pulse is that the chords you play are the input and not the result — the Drum Rack and the ensemble engine build the arrangement around them, and it leaves as MIDI you can still take apart.
