Playmod is built on the effect engine of Lofi Keys 2, rebuilt here as a creative FX plug-in of its own. Three rack slots hold swappable units you can mix and reorder to suit the flow.

A playback device is a defect with a fan club. Vinyl dust, cassette wobble and bitcrush all began as damage, and turned into character only once the machines that made them went out of production — which is why the Player puts an envelope on its noise rather than a level.
